Background:

In July 2011, my husband and I were listening to a craft beer podcast where they were interviewing Big Beers Festival Coordinator, Laura Lodge. The interviewer asked what was her least favorite part of coordinating the festival and her instant response was, "the commercial tasting program".  At my husband's urging, I sent a crazy email to this lady I had never met to ask her if I could create the program for a festival I had never had the opportunity to attend.  Luckily, she was a bit crazy too and a great relationship and friendship was born! 10 years later, creating an increasing number of pieces for the Big Beers Festival is one of my favorite jobs in the entire world.  It is a beer festival but after months of work, it kind of feels like we saved the world - one beer at a time.
